Instructional Technology Mini Grant
The Instructional Technology Mini-Grant is designed to defray the direct costs of, and provide dedicated technical support for, the incorporation of new technology-based tools (software or hardware) in the classroom. The Mini-Grant may be applied toward instructional technology training, software, or hardware.
Faculty/Staff Learning Community Initiative
The Faculty/Staff Learning Community Initiative is designed to support St. Norbert College’s faculty/staff who wish to explore changes in their teaching practice that elevate student learning through the use of digital pedagogy, open education, hybrid and online learning, developing digital literacies/competencies/citizenship in students, and other creative approaches to teaching and learning.
Full Spectrum Learning Stipend: Exploration and/or Implementation
Full Spectrum Learning Stipends are available at two levels: Level 1 – Exploration and Level 2 – Implementation. Level 2 can only be awarded after Level 1 is complete. Level 1 – Exploration requires participation in our online connected learning experience #DigPINS. Level 2 – is more individualized and awardees define a project in which they will implement a change in their pedagogy or scholarship to include a digital component.
Full Spectrum Learning Travel Grant
If you are actively engaged in Full Spectrum Learning Initiatives and would like to present the work you’ve done as a result of those initiatives, you are invited to apply for an FSL Travel Grant to support your travel costs and conference fees.
From the “flipped classroom” to MOOCs, the role that technology can play in higher education – in support of both enhancing the classroom experience and creating new educational models (and related cost structures) – is one of the most widely discussed and debated topics of our time. In order for St. Norbert College to remain competitive, we must decide for ourselves what role technology will play here, and how it can best fit into our overall mission.
It is in this context that the College has created its first faculty fellow position – a “Digital Fellow.” Fellows serve as innovative leaders, exemplars, and agents of change for their faculty colleagues, helping to promote a sense of community, collaboration, and cultural change around a particular focus area – in this case, technology.
